What is the FPPF?

     The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization established for the upliftment of photography in the Philippines. It nurtures and maintains strong personal and professional relations with manufacturers, dealers, professionals, and amateurs, which the FPPF parlays into projects that benefit the entire industry. What are its major activities or programs?

     Throughout the year, the FPPF organizes

  • photography seminars and workshops in Manila and the provinces
  • photo contests for interested private and government institutions
  • photo tours to favorite and unknown tourist destinations
  • photo exhibits in cooperation with private and government institutions
  • photo shoots and contests for coffetable books and promotional events

     Its most eagerly awaited project is the annual PhotoWorld Manila trade show and convention, held around the end of January or start of February.

How does one join the FPPF?

     The FPPF offers affiliate status to photography organizations such as camera clubs and professional organizations, and to companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, or sale of ph otographic equipment and supplies.
      Camera organizations need to formally apply for affiliation; photographic and film companies are considered affiliated by association unless they expressly disavow their association and sever their ties with FPPF.
      The FPPF does not accept individual or personal memberships or affiliations.

What do affiliates get in return?

     Photographers get

  • official and professional representation with suppliers and dealers.
  • protection from unscrupulous trade practices and promotions (such as photo contests and marketing programs).
  • discounts on photo equipment and supplies
  • professional assistance in organizing seminars, photo exhibits, photo events, and photo shoots
  • assistance in club activities, such as inviting resource speakers on photography and qualified contest jurors
